alpha europe is focusing, with a selected number of external partners, on key areas in microelectronics - ASIC design, Chip assembly and standard power DMOS transistors. Based on our experience in the wafer foundry business we are expanding our activities into the photovoltaic sector.

ASIC design

Application Specific Integrated Circuits – ASICs  the major part of our chip design activities is also one of our major focus in our product strategy.
We design chips in our teams with more then 500 man-year experience for a wide range of application in analogue, digital and mixed signal field but especially for motor, medicine and automotive applications. Dependent the application we are in the position based on or Cadence and Mentor design platform to choose the independent latest state of the art technologies from sub-micron in low voltage up to high voltages till 700V as well in SOI processes.
Beside ASIC design the ASSPs - Application Specific Products we design are close in cooperation with our lead customers. Such ASSPs will be available in the free market later on. 
So if you also have any new product ideas in potential markets and no needs for exclusivity we will discuss with you possibilities for success together.

Chip assembly

alpha europe is working over 5 years in field of chip assembly with different leading assembly houses from EUROPE and ASIA. Based on this successful cooperation we are able to solve all assembly requests on standard and customized packages for standard ICs as well optoelectronics and MEM-application.  
More and more we are concentrating for state of the art SIP and multi chip assembly solutions too.

Power DMOS transistors

alpha europe announced on 01.01.2010 together with the partner alpha pacific technology (APT) for Europe market a new generation of power DMOS transistors for general application, but focused on lighting, motor driver and SMPT power supplies. Our

Photovoltaic

Based on the long experience in the wafer foundry business and in building management too we established with our partners Frankfurt Solar Module the photovoltaic business lat year.
